Each April, Poetry in the Community presents free poetry performances and offers a month-long series of activities in virtual and physical spaces, with participation by local poets, local literary organizations, and poetry lovers and supporters. Productions at the Waverly Library to kick off National Poetry Month with a
FREE poetry reading and performances with the talented, quirky Baltimore community that’s got poetry running
through its charming veins. Open to all ages.

- Beatboxing with Max Bent;
- Open mic for our audience members;
- Contribute to a poetree;
- Random object poetry and worn poetry (bring a blank
shirt);
- Sidewalk chalk poetry, free poetry giveaways, & more.
