Life In Me Like Grass on Fire
Life in Me Like Grass on Fire: Love Poems features poetry by 50 members of the Maryland Writers Association. Reviewer Clarinda Harriss said, "It was Valentine’s Day Eve when I sat down to read a new anthology of love poems. My heart dipped, if not sank, at the prospect. I thought about how saccharine makes my teeth ache. Thus it is with great delight that I say 'I HEART Life In Me Like Grass On Fire.' Orchestrated around seven broad themes—'First love, Lost Love,' 'Love of Art and Work,' 'Friends and Family,' 'Love of Nature,' 'Love Floods the Senses,' 'The Madness of Love,' and 'Love as We Age,' with each section introduced by one of the anthologized poets, the collection offers dazzling variety."
